Ok, I’m interested, what should I do next?
A coaching culture is a place where authentic leaders and managers help people to grow, thrive and perform through effective conversations and honest feedback underpinned by trust.
What is a coaching culture anyway?
Well, that’s a good question. Arguably a coaching culture has always been a great idea. But, with a generation of employees more focused on self-development, and the world constantly changing, a coaching culture is needed now, more than ever before.

Employees are more focused on self-development
The generations entering the workforce now are far more focused on self-development. The idea of a job for life is long gone, so they seek out transferable skills through opportunities to grow and perform to their potential. Coaching provides this by its very nature.
Different skills are needed for our modern world
Our world is changing at a faster pace than ever before. And to stay competitive, companies need employees to be resilient, yet adaptable. The old style ‘do as I say’ leadership style just doesn’t develop these types of employees. Coaching, however, does by unlocking creativity and giving people the tools to solve their own problems.
Nothing else works as well
For a while, companies aimed for a learning culture. But focusing on developing skills and knowledge through training has its limits. It doesn’t develop the behavioural changes needed for sustainable performance increases. By focusing on mindset shifts, coaching does just this, enabling employees to perform to their full potential.
